Vidsy [Social Media Sampler]
Vidsy is a social media advertising agency/startup where I currently work as a motion designer, delivering video ads for many different brands across Meta, Tiktok, Youtube, Pinterest etc. My responsibilities include providing detailed art direction to our freelance community, and also being the hands on designer.
While there are usually 1-10 base videos in a campaign, the ones shown below are my favorite/the videos I took most responsibility over. Here is a mix of branded and Tiktok videos, enjoy!
Project 1: Warzone Mobile
This video includes gameplay, influencer footage, and branded copy. I added in pops of red, played with graphic textures, and animated 3D text to better sit in the space.

Project 3: Mountain Dew
These videos included TVC cutdowns and animated branded copy. I wanted the text treatment to feel dynamic, bold, and fun, to capture the spirit of Mountain Dew.

One Pager
I sifted down the client’s brand guidelines and provided the freelance team with this one pager. We find this makes it much easier for them and creates more consistency across the group.
I also added a simple tutorial on how to shear Mountain Dew’s font in AE, as well as provided them with a text toolkit with premade animations to streamline their workflow.
Project 4: Suits
These videos were primarily for Tiktok. Because Tiktok’s main audience (Gen Z + Millenials) strongly dislike being advertised to, one of our main goals with Tiktok content is that they feel native to the platform. We do so by using Tiktok native font, cutting on screen exactly how a creator would in-app, and using funny situations/VO to keep the content relatable and engaging. We want our Tiktok ads not to feel like ads!
It’s a great opportunity to get weird and push the limits of traditional advertising. Video 2 does exactly that, following the ASMR trend using sound clips from the show.

Project 5: Shining Vale
This campaign was edited with the Shining Vale season 2 trailer, a mix of human VO, AI VO, and in-footage VO + SFX.

Project 6: Harry Potter Magic Awakened
Because social media ads are mainly short form, it’s important that the “see and say” is perfect. The ideas need to be communicated quickly. For this video I made sure the footage I selected demonstrated the bullet points clearly.
